Enjoying Life | Supporting Independence Meals on Wheels is an internationally recognised and highly regarded service that for decades has been providing people with much needed daily nutrition through networks of volunteers delivering high nutritional value meals to aged and vulnerable people in their own homes.  Thus avoiding the need for these people to premature entry into care homes at considerable additional cost to the families, government and community.  Meals on Wheels Queanbeyan are looking to build on our foundation to continue to provide our services to a greater pool of clients into the future.  With the changes in Aged Care legislation over the past few years, and with the establishment of the combined Queanbeyan and Palerang Council Region our responsibilities have expanded considerably, with clients in regional areas of Bungendore, Braidwood, Majors Creek, Araluen, Captains Flat, Sutton, and Michelago.  Meals on Wheels Queanbeyan has been operating for more than 50 years.

It’s not only clients whose lives are enhanced by Meals on Wheels. People who give time to Meals on Wheels say volunteering has added a new dimension to their lives. The satisfaction of doing something for those in their community that need assistance, is a reward in itself.
